Vancouver Art Gallery
3:37 amThe Vancouver Art Gallery on 750 Hornby street is now the largest art gallery on the western side of Canada. It holds international and national exhibitions throughout the year. The Vancouver art gallery currently holds around 7,900 art works to the total value of $100 million and was founded in 1931.
Many well know art works are kept at the Vancouver art gallery including over 200 art works by the British Columbia artist Emily Carr. Other well know artist at the Vancouver art gallery include:

Being the largest art gallery in western Canada, the Vancouver art gallery is built with over 41,000 square feet of exhibition space. It was redesigned by Arthur Erickson in and was finished in 1983. The Vancouver art gallery gets 48% of is revenue from the City of Vancouver. There are also sponsorships and corporate memberships that help support the rest of the Vancouver art galleries income along with admission fees, gallery store, café and gallery space rentals and art rentals.
It will cost you around $15(CAD) for an adult to get in to the Vancouver art gallery and around $6 is you’re aged between 5 and 12. Gallery opening hours are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday between 10am and 5.30pm. Tuesday and Thursday from 10am to 9pm. If you’re planning to visit the Vancouver art gallery you’ll need to park on in car parks around the gallery because there’s not parking at the art gallery itself.
